Do's
- Read the seller's feedback and ensure you're comfortable with whom you are dealing with
- If you are unsure about the vehicle's details ask the seller a question regardless of how stupid it seems
- If possible view and test-drive the vehicle, or get a friend to view for you
- Set a budget and compare prices with similar vehicles
- Watch out for other bidders who will try and spoil the auction
- Check if a vehicle has any money owing on it at the Personal Properties Security Register
- Check if it is a used import that it was not flagged on importation as being accident damaged or having an unreliable odometer
- As stupid as it sounds, make sure the vehicle you are bidding on will do the job you want it to do
